I always loved observing how Larry interacted with his four grandchildren. I vividly remember him holding his mini-me, Nolan, playing cars with Rees, helping Cooper with his reading homework, and laughing with Lyla. Larry always showed up--making the 2 hour (sometimes longer!) trek from Minturn to Denver as if we was just crossing the street to see his grandchildren. He also always showed up for his adopted family--the Tversky kids--Kyle's in-laws from Texas. One Christmas, Larry bought adult sized Minturn t-shirts for the grandkids--his plus the 4 Tversky kids. He was always the most thoughtful gift giver, bringing really good bottles of wine to every family dinner or buying the most beautiful flowers after he visited. What cracked us up was the kids were all toddler sized-Adele being the largest kid, maybe a size 7? We laughed and laughed about it as the kids put on their t-shirts, Cooper and Leo's almost touching the ground. Larry, with a great sense of humor, remarked-well I guess they will have them for years to come! and sure enough--those t-shirts, 5 years later, are still my kids' favorite pajama tops. They consistently pack those shirts for our annual trek to Colorado, for camp, for sleepovers...and every time I see them wear them, I think of Larry, his humor, his kindness, and the accidental foresight of gift that kept on giving.

Hi Jenna.. We have never met, I am "Cousin Kris" from Florida. My Mom is Nancy Dressler, Larry & Lynn's cousin... making Larry & Lynn my "First Cousin Once removed" (at least according to Lynn Kunkle LOL). My Mom & I were wondering if there is going to be any type of Zoom with the Celebration tomorrow? We would love to be there in some way. Please hug Kurt, Kyle & Kirsten from me! XOXO Cousin Kris
